Italartnet.com was created as a directory for professional artists in central Italy and is the first of many directories. Using advanced technology to manage images online, artists can present their portfolio's with a level of sophistication normally reserved for large institutions. Supplementing this directory are a range of services from photography to our own exhibition spaces.

All images are captured in our state of the art studios using large format cameras and Phase One Digital backs. Images greater than 100 million pixels are possible for the finest reproductions. Special lighting techniques are employed to evenly light even the larges pieces.

Once a painting or sculpture is photographed, it is uploaded to our digital asset management system where it can viewed remotely. Each client has an individual account which provides them with numerous features for managing a collection of images. Images can be presented and downloaded instantly without the limitations of E-mail or having to wait for a courier to deliver a CD.

A fully colour managed workflow allows us to accurately simulate how the images will look when they go to press. Since every printing environment is different, custom profiles can be made that allow us to perform very accurate colour separations that are specific to a particular press. As an alternative, we can produce certified proofs that meet European ISO standards.

Our network runs on our own state of the art Hewlet Packard servers located in the Netherlands giving clients the best possible response times and quality of service. Being connected directly to Europe's top telecommunications hubs means a consistent user experience no matter where the client may be.
