Angela Chidgey - Siena, Italy

The other major influence on her work has been Africa. From the first visit in 1986 and for every year since then Africa has bitten deep into her soul. Angela sees the Elephant and its matriarchal way of life as a role model to emulate and finds the poaching and culling of elephants as a needless slaughter.
Angela Chidgey will be exhibiting from the 6th to the 9th of November at the Smithfield Gallery in London. The event is to raise awareness of the wonders of the Elephant and to raise money for desperately needed radio collars to help save their migratory routes. The event is sponsored by the Born Free Foundation.
