Sarah Bradpiece - Perugia, Italy
Sarah Bradpiece is an English sculptor, painter and “installation artist”. During the 1980’s Sarah made large scale multi media installations in the most important public galleries in Great Britain. In the late 80’s Sarah spent two years of extensive world travel, developing her work in China, Tibet, Bhutan, Japan and Australia.
After a series of exhibitions in Britain and Australia she was awarded a scholarship to the British School in Rome and then continued to live and work in Umbria. Her work combines conceptual lines of thought with a concern for the traditional roles and values of society. She uses a diverse array of materials but at present has return to the “sublime simplicity” of telling a story though pictures. Her recent pictures are “predella” to the miracles in her life.
